District Governor Bryan Bross joined the Burlington Host (Noon) Lions Club in 2010. He has served in many leadership roles including club president, Burlington Noon Lions Oktoberfest Chair for several years, zone chair, and first and second vice district governor. He is active on the State Personnel and Equipment Committee. He is a graduate of the Great Plains Lions Leadership Institute (2015) and Advanced Lions Leadership Institute (2018). He has also received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at the USA Canada Lions Leadership Forum (2018).

In recognition of his service to the International Association of Lions Clubs, DG Bryan has received numerous awards, including the International President’s Leadership Medal, and he was honored with a Melvin Jones Fellowship (2017-2018) which honors those who have taken the Lions motto “We Serve” to heart through the sharing of their time and talents in community and humanitarian service.

DG Bryan serves his local business community as Chair of the Government Affairs committee of the Greater Burlington Partnership’s Chamber of Commerce. He is also past Chair of the Chamber of Commerce (2013) and the Economic Development Board (2019). DG Bryan is currently Vice Chair of the Burlington Area YMCA where he also serves as Chair of the Facilities Committee. DG Bryan has served as a commissioner on the Burlington Planning Commission since 2008. He served as a Director of the Burlington Community School District (2015-2019) including one year as Vice President and his last year as President. DG Bryan also serves his profession at the State level on the board of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Iowa as Vice Chair.

DG Bryan earned his BS in Geological Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla (1993) and his Master of Engineering in Geotechnics from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (2012). He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa, a Licensed Professional Geologist in Illinois, and a Registered Geologist in Missouri. DG Bryan is Senior Vice President and Director of IT for Klingner & Associates PC where he also serves as the Branch Manager for the Burlington office. He leads teams to provide engineering solutions to environmental, geological/geotechnical, and water resources problems throughout the Midwest.

DG Bryan and his beautiful and wise wife of 25 years, Carissa (Cari), are the children’s pastors at New Life Family Church where DG Bryan also serves as an Elder, Treasurer, and occasional pulpit supply. They have resided in Burlington since 2004 where they raised two college age children, Paul and Lydia. DG Bryan models “service to others and community” as a lifestyle to his children and those that he mentors.
